How Do I Increase DStv Signal Strength?

Your decoder will lose signal if the DStv signal strength is poor. As a result, your TV may display pixelated or frozen images. In extreme circumstances, your decoder may display an E48-32 no signal error message, indicating that there is no picture.

An All-Inclusive DStv Setup Service

Make sure your satellite dish and LNB are both properly positioned to optimize your DStv signal strength. Also, make sure that the connections at the back of your decoder are correctly connected.

What Causes Low Signal Strength And Quality?

Obstructions and weather conditions affect the intensity and quality of the DStv signal, as they do with other signals. Obstructions in the direct path of the signal and the satellite dish, such as trees, roof overspill, buildings, and clouds, might cause problems. In fact, poor signal strength difficulties are frequently caused by faulty LNB and dish alignments.

Incorrectly connecting F-type connectors on a coaxial cable can significantly limit signal strength. See how to connect F-type connectors on your DStv coaxial cable in the video below.

How To Fix Signal Strength On DStv?

Here are a few simple things you can take to fix your DStv signal strength if you’re getting a no signal found error. These options, however, are only applicable to domestic satellite dish setups.

Check F-type connectors;

Examine the LNB and the rear of the decoder for poorly connected F-type connectors.

Align the LNB correctly.

Align your LNB at a skew angle to the polarity of the signal, your current location, and the satellite you want to watch.

Adjust the satellite dish’s position.

Adjust the horizontal and elevation angles of your satellite dish to ensure optimal alignment.

A defective LNB must be replaced.

Move your satellite dish.

If your satellite dish is located where there are signal obstructions, such as trees and buildings, relocate it.

Trees that may hinder the signal should be cut down or pruned. If you are unable to resolve the issue on your own, please contact us.
